CMEC Storm Policy in effect for Florida

  • It may be necessary  for CMEC to reschedule certification sessions and inspections when a named storm is in the area.  This is to give you, your employees, and the CMEC staff time needed to prepare for and clean up after the storm.

Laboratory Accreditation

The CMEC Laboratory Accreditation Program provides laboratory assessments, quality management system evaluations, and accreditation for construction material testing laboratories seeking AASHTO R18, ASTM E329, and ISO/IEC 17025.

Inspection Agency Accreditation

The CMEC Special Inspection Agency Accreditation Program is  based on the requirements of the IBC and the applicable portions of ISO/IEC 17020 and ASTM E329.

Production Facility Accreditation

The  CMEC Production Facility Accreditation Program establishes a consistent recognized level of competence that demonstrates a company’s commitment to the improvement of  the production of construction materials.

Laboratory Proficiency Test Samples

CMEC provides samples for concrete, aggregate, soil, and hot mix asphalt.  CMEC also can supply DOTs with Independent Assurance samples for technician evaluation.

Technician and Inspector Certification

CMEC is a sponsoring group for ACI Certification Programs and a provider for Florida CTQP Qualifications.  CMEC staffs examiners for PCI and NPCA Certifications.

Educational Workshops and Material

CMEC offers review workshops for all certification and qualification exams.  Workshops can include in depth specification and method review as well as hands on demonstrations of test procedures.
